Hillary R. Stroud is a litigation associate with experience navigating federal disputes including employment, civil rights, and complex corporate litigation. Prior to joining Wagner Hicks, Hillary served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable David C. Keesler in the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina.

Hillary received her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as an Articles Editor for the North Carolina Law Review and graduated with honors. In her time at the UNC School of Law, Hillary had the opportunity to work in-house with the Business and Legal Affairs team at FilmNation Entertainment on high-stakes international intellectual property transactions, including their production of the film Anora, which went on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture. Hillary was also recognized for her pro bono contributions and enjoyed working on staff at the Katherine R. Everett Law Library.

A proud double Tar Heel and native North Carolinian, Hillary also received her bachelor’s degree in American Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill, graduating with highest honors and highest distinction as a Chancellor’s Carolina Scholar.
